Basic Information

We will be traveling to far South Texas (just past South Padre Island) to San Benito, TX.  In partnership with Juntos Servimos, we are going to be roofing the education building at Ebenezer Christian Church and painting another building.  The church is located in Los Fresnos, just down the road from San Benito.  We are asking youth to pay $100 each to help cover the costs of this trip. The $100 will cover everything except snacks/souvenirs on the trip.  No one will be turned away from the trip because the $100 causes a financial hardship.

This trip will be a 10-12 hour drive.  We will arrive at Buckingham at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday to get everything packed up, then we will attend the early service so that we can be blessed and commissioned.  We will be pulling out at 9:45 a.m. and we will return on Saturday night.   

 

We are staying at First United Methodist in San Benito again this year, so we have air conditioning, a great kitchen, and a lot of floor space to sleep on.  If the floor is too hard, be sure to pack that air mattress or cot so you can get a good night's sleep.  Please print out a copy of the packing list from the link above and also fill out the medical release form.  We are not going into Mexico, so no one will need a passport for this trip.
