Buckingham is a church with a big heart. Our congregation is diverse in background, socioeconomic status, age, ethnicity, and theology (what we believe). Our 11:00 Service is highly liturgical, which means that we process, carrying in the cross, recite the Apostles' Creed, sing hymns, have a psalter (a psalm led by a cantor with a congregational response), and frequently sing the communion liturgy. At 8:30 the crowd is small and a little more laid-back, with mostly piano instead of mostly organ. We have a youth band, which leads music at both services once a month. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the dress is casual to business. Jeans (or shorts in warmer weather) are acceptable attire any time. (But so are suits and ties and even pantyhose!)
